Lulu & Georgia Sleepover

Laguna Beach’s boutique Hotel Joaquin was transformed into a Lulu & Georgia catalog for the fall collection launch with interior designer Sarah Sherman Samuel. The entire hotel, from the lobby to the rooms, showcased Sarah's new furniture, decor and bedding collection. Designers, celebrities, and influencers were invited to sleep over at Hotel Joaquin for relaxation and lunch by the pool, morning wellness activities by the beach, and an intimate sunset dinner. MIHO orchestrated a successful launch and showcase of the designer’s collaboration.

Design

Our goal was to stay true to the Lulu & Georgia brand, especially in collaboration with Sarah Sherman Samuel. The design aesthetic seamlessly blends modern sophistication with timeless elegance. The collection showcases a harmonious fusion of playful patterns, muted tones, and organic textures. Expect to find a balance between minimalism and warmth, with furniture and decor pieces featuring sleek, contemporary designs softened by natural materials like wood and stone.

The color scheme featured neutral tones with a pop of mustard, incorporating soft hues of beige, green, and muted pink. This created a calming and inviting atmosphere. Sarah Sherman Samuel's influence adds a hint of eclectic charm, introducing unique patterns and textures that elevate the overall aesthetic. The result is a collection that exudes effortless style, perfect for creating chic and cozy spaces that feel both contemporary and inviting.

Day to Night

Guests checked into the Hotel Joaquin on a gorgeous Southern California day and were welcomed to a vibrant pool party with other influencers, designers and friends. They lounged by the pool and soaked in the sun while enjoying ficelle sandwiches, fresh salads, snacks, and crisp rosé served from MIHO’s cute beverage cart.

The atmosphere transformed into a more sophisticated setting as the sun dipped below the ocean. The evening started with a cocktail hour, leading to a cozy multi-course dinner. During the dinner, the CEO of Lulu & Georgia and designer Sarah Sherman Samuel shared insights on their seventh collaboration. The event was a day-to-night experience that offered relaxation, culinary delights, and creative inspiration.

CulinaryDelights

Under the starlit sky, the dinner prepared by Chef Rocio of MIHO was a culinary delight. Guests were offered appetizers during cocktail hour, including pumpkin ricotta dumplings, braised oxtail on brioche and a vegan beet tartare. A pre-set snack of house potato and yam chips served with onion ash dip encouraged a communal vibe as guests sat down for dinner and conversation.

Our autumn menu included a roasted Bosc pear salad with baby turnips, blue cheese, bitter greens, and hazelnut with a star anise vinaigrette. The main course was a beautiful pan-roasted coho salmon wish with sunchokes, raisin caper puree and caviar creme frâiche. To end on a sweet note, guests indulged in housemade ice cream sandwiches.

The autumn launch party was a triumphant celebration of the partnership between Lulu & Georgia and Sarah Sherman Samuel. The event showcased Sarah's new collection, and the event design harmoniously matched the brand's aesthetic, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all attendees.
